pantech flex with att. i cant open downloads when they come in a text. its says to try agin later.

Have you tried to reboot your phone? Sometimes the phone gets wonky and needs a full reboot in order to work properly.
After that, check in your SMS settings menu to see if you have anything checked off that won't allow MMS messages to download.
If that fails, and you still can't download, you may want to call ATT support and ask them to check your account settings. It may be a back end problem on their side.
