If I get videos texted to me from someone with an Iphone, a small box comes up with a warning triangle in it, and it says I am unable to open it. Does anyone know how to fix this?

You need an activated MMS access point in your phone and an active data plan.

I have an active data plan. How do I do the mms access point?
The default video player on your device may not be able to play the video format.
Try installing a video player like MX Player - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mxtech.videoplayer.ad&hl=en
The next time you open the video in the text you should be prompted to select a player for the video, select MX player and see if the video plays.

The MMS access point comes from your carrier. You can also try WG's suggestion if the MMS access point was already correct in the first place.
