Can't Play Music In Car. All my music is on SD Card but car only sees Internal Drive

Hi

When I plug my Android phone into the computer two drives appear:
one is the Android's Internal memory, let's say F:\ (about 1GB), the other is the SD Card, which is much larger and has all my music on. Let's call that G:\

My car has a USB socket so I can play music from a flash drive, ipod, or indeed from my Android phone.

However, when I plug my Android phone in, the car only sees the first drive, F:\, the Internal Memory, which is only 1GB.

Is there some way to hide or dismount the Internal memory so the car only sees the SD Card?

Thanks!

DomUK,

Welcome to Android Forums. Unfortunately I don't know the answer to your question. I have a feeling that the problem stems from the stereo not being made to read two devices from one USB connection which isn't very common. My HTC One V does the same thing and I don't find it that useful, but if you try to operate the phone without an SD card I guess it needs to work that way.

I suppose the worse-case scenario is that you may have move your music to the memory allocated on the phone.

Hope that helps some!
