cant play music

I just updated to marshmallow and my turbo 2 didnt recognize my sd card. I took the card out and reformatted it on my desktop then reinserted it. It now has all the pics and if I go into the card settings it has all my music but it doesnt show up or play in any of my music players. It worked before the update.

I use Poweramp and after the update I needed to do a rescan inside Poweramp.

An issue with Marshmallow is that the card is no longer called sdcard1 it is called something like 1234-1234 and the various apps had the sdcard1 hardcoded in.

If you are not using Poweramp, it may be that you will need to clear the media storage database is still the method for Marshmallow, but it should work. See the information here: http://www.jrtstudio.com/iSyncr/Tutorials/How-To-Refresh-Android-Media-Cache
starting with Step 4. (Though read the summary at the top for the explanation.)

The media storage database should be refreshed shortly after. I'd check the music app you use shortly after and see if it can now see and play your music files.

There is also a BIG problem with T2 MM and WMA format. Some music player apps refuse to recognize WMA music files. Players that don't work with WMA:
Rocket Player
Player Pro
My Alarm Clock

Players that do work with WMA:
Google Play Music
GoneMad player
PowerAmp

Just to clarify, it wasn't necessarily the MM upgrade that caused this for you, right? I believe that you said that you had the same problem with Lollipop on the T2?

Correct, WMA did not show on T2 before MM either.

Rocket Player has been communicating and may be working on it, but since they don't have a T2 they can't duplicate the problem.
Player Pro and My Alarm Clock basically said they don't support WMA, even after I told them GPM sees the files.
