Can't print to HP Wireless Printer from Tablet

We have tried everything. Downloaded a punch of apps nothing is working. This is a new Galaxy Tablet S2 9.7. We have a Samsung account and I read that I might need a Samsung Printer. Oh no.

I even went on Samsung Chat and they said I needed HP chat. that didn't make sense.​
 
They are right, probably best to chat with HP. I use to use a HP app to send files to ours.

Nowadays I use wifi-direct to our brother printer, which tends to be a bit hit and miss. We do need to turn on a setting in the printer to enable contact. Have you checked the settings in the printer and used the official HP app?
 
I'm an Android user and have a Windows 10 PC. I also have an HP LaserJet printer.

Yes, you can print from your tablet to the printer... I use Samsung Cloud Print and the HP Print Service Plug in. Once you set up the printer (either manually or by WPS), you should be able to select it and print to it.

For example - if I'm in Microsoft Word I can finish the document and select 'Print' in the menu. It may take a couple of seconds for it to identify the printer and connect to it, but then I tap the PRINT icon and... it prints.

I have complained ad nauseum to HP about their brainless HP Smart app - it can print local files and files on Google Drive or Dropbox. No option to add other cloud services like, oh, OneDrive. In fact, I emailed the developer of HP Smart yesterday about that.

Please let us know what printer you have, what process you are using to connect and where you are getting stuck.

We have HP Officejet 4632. We have tried everything and it seems to not pickup any wifi, I even took Tablet next to printer, we even plugged the printer into the tablet with a little part my husband had and it still wouldn't print.
 
Well I use a Hp Envy 4520 with HP Smart Plugin and Hp ePrint apps for a few years now with all my wireless devices that has printing applications on them. But one thing I found to be essential to all that was to register your printer online and have hp send it updates when necessary when it's connected of course. Also it's a good idea to set up Hp ePrint where Hp will set up a cloud email address specifically for your printer. Oh yeah and if you don't have the purchase information available, HP may not send updates to it and making it almost impossible to use. Reason being because I faced that issue and had problem getting the serial number and purchase information from the third party which was Amazon.

Which HP wireless printer are you printers are you using?
