Help Can't receive or send Gmail

Christo56

Lurker
Four days my Android Pro went into infinite-reboot mode. I got around that by performing a factory reset. Last night it did it again. Another factory reset. Now there's the "Phone storage space is getting low" in the taskbar. I moved some apps to the SD card, and uninstalled others, but the message remains. Worse, I cannot send or receive email from my Gmail account. A sent message is marked "Sending" forever; the Inbox shows I have (1) unread message, but it doesn't appear in the message list, so I can't access it.

Did yet another factory reset. This has (for now) fixed the "low phone space" and no-Gmail problems. I really need Gmail access for the next week, as I'll be on the road without easy access to a laptop, so I'm going to hold off installing any apps for a while to see how stable it remains.

I don't consider myself an apps maniac. I'd downloaded maybe 10 or 12, and they had all been running for at least two months before my initial infinite-reboot problem of four days ago, and the "low phone space" of yesterday. I really hope I can re-install the 4 or 5 that I use all the time (WeatherBug, voice recorder, Real Calculator, a few others) without trashing the phone again.
