Cant remove auto backed up album?

So I got an S3 recently, and gave a friend of mine my old phone. My google account was still signed it. He uploaded some pics into the phone, and since my google account was signed in on that phone and mine, I seem to have got all his pics into an album called auto backup. Only thing is... how the heck do I delete this album? It doesn't let you delete it. And I've tried a factory reset with different settings twice.

Get him to factory reset his phone, which will wipe your Google account from it, and set up his own account.

The photo backup is probably linked to G+, which I uninstall from my phones, so I can't say for sure what he has to do, but one of you will have to sign out from that and disable the backup. Removing your account from the phone is the cleanest solution though.
