Help Can't save Google Hangout Images

Hello All,
I'm having an issue where sometime I cannot save images sent to me via google hangouts on my Nexus 5. This happens during in both individual and group chats. The option for save does not come up. Does anyone know a solution?

I already know the process of saving pictures as sometime it works. That is clicking on the picture and then click save. Thanks in advance.

Are you trying to save a picture from a message that contains multiple pictures? I don't think that is possible unless you use a 3rd party app.

Thanks for the reply, Regression. Yes, I was. After you mentioned using a third party app I downloaded Textra and was able to save the pictures.
