Cant seem to use user dictionary

Having an issue using the added words in my custom dictionary on my ZTE Racer.

so far lve added like 3 or four words l tend to use allot, all of them while l have been creating SMS messages, however even though they are added to my dictionary the words dont seem to be useable, is there a setting l am missing here? because l cant seem to find it.

(if it helps, lm not using the standard QWERTY based keyboard, not sure what the one lm using is called but it has two letters per key)

any help greatly appreciated, as getting the user-dictionary to work properly would save allot of annoyance when typing out messages.

guess there isnt a fix for my issue, which begs the question... why can users define words in the "user dictionary" if it doesnt get used at all regardless of what application you are running be it email or texts.

regardless it seems from others l have spoke to that the issue doesnt seem to be just my phone but his as well and he has a HTC model.
