can't send pics with text messages

using the proper pathway to send a pic via text, i successfully take the picture, then :

> share

>click messages

>enter phone number to send pic to

> click send....

then...it will show the pic on the proper message page, it says "Sending..." then
the pic never gets sent.

any advice is much appreciated!

I never use MMS, but my guess is to check your APN settings (mobile data settings, access point names). You should be able to find what they should be for MMS from your carrier's website, so just check they look right. If there is no APN setting for MMS that might be the problem.

Could also be a problem with the size of the picture (there should be a setting for that in your message app), but I'd expect it to tell you if the picture was too large, maybe ask if you want to reduce it, rather that just hang at sending, which is why my first guess is data settings.

Certain phones and ROMs have known MMS picture issues.

Without your exact make/model device I cannot further diagnose your issue.
