Cant send "STOP" text

I have a Galaxy S4. I sign up for various offers from businesses that send out text messages to get deals mobile coupons etc. When I get an automated text you can respond with STOP and they will take you off the list. I did it once and it worked but a box popped up the next time I tried and I dont remember what it said. I had the chance to hit always or just for now and I hit always. Now every time I try to send stop or respond to an automated text it wont send. It says failed. Please help!

Go messaging > long press message thread > register as spam

This will clear up your issue but also save the messages awhile in your spam folder.
