After upgrading my unlocked Verizon S4 on Metro Pcs to Lollipop from Kit kat, I cant send texts. Everything else works great. I've tried taking out the battery, sim, and sdcard and putting them back in and also trying both the T-mobile and Metro Pcs APN settings. I even tried calling Metro Pcs customer service but they are completely clueless.

From experience I have had many issues with verizon phones being connected with Metro. I've had an S4 that could not connect to the internet and could not receive picture messages either, even though the APN settings were correct.

With Verizon it is hit and miss...

Did you ever do a factory reset after you upgraded to lollipop?

I had to replace my i337 s4 and purchased the i545 off craigslist. They had apparently updated to the oc1 lollipop (which explains why they didn't want it possibly and on the cheap)... I have tried everything you could suggest to correct sending SMS. Being also I can not root the OC1 firmware, I will just have to be happy having a working phone for now, and add a subject line to every text I sent to convert to MMS so it will not fail sending... When I say have tried everything, I do mean everything....
