Help Can't swipe away notifications anymore

I've got an LG G4 running 6.0 (Marshmallow). A couple of days ago, I found that I could no longer swipe away notifications -- when I try, they open instead. I thought I might have accidentally changed a setting somewhere, but if I did, I couldn't find it. Is this Google's idea of a "feature," or is there some way to fix this?

I just had the same problem. What worked for me was the oldest cliche in tech support.
'Have you tried turning it off and back on again?'
Fully off. I removed and replaced the battery and turned it back on. Problem solved.
