On my son's phone (Moto G5) I've installed a primary and secondary account, mine the primary, his the second. Both are linked to Google accounts.
Under Users > Lock screen settings I can "add users when device is locked". This means when phone comes out of standby mode and you meet the lock screen, either user can swipe down from top and change users, logging in with the appropriate user's security settings.
But if phone is powered down, when switching on the initial lock screen is different - a 'To start android enter your PIN' request. Only the primary user's PIN is effective and there is no option to switch user from this lock screen.
This is a major problem when he's at school and required to power the phone down.
Any options around this, other than wiping all users and making him the primary user (which I'm reluctant to do)?
