Can't uninstall "Clock" App.

I recently found an app called "Clock" on my Galaxy S-3. It has some really unwanted capablilities but I can't get rid of it.

Delete is grayed out on the application's settings. Application Manager can find it but does not offer an uninstall option.

Am I overlooking something obvious?

If you're referring to the built-in clock then no... you can not uninstall it but you can disable it.

- Settings > Apps > All (scroll all the way to the right)
- Clock
- Disable (it will move to the bottom of the list if you ever want to enable again)

Thanks for the replies. Looks like something I installed. I hit disable, force close and clear cache in app manager but it still collects data. Automatic task killer can't get rid of it.

Apparently it has the ability to change system settings, thus the ability to insulate itself...

Can you post a screenshot?

It sounds like the system clock, which cannot be uninstalled.

What does the icon look like? The stock clock app looks like the ones in these pictures:

If this is the app you are talking about, its the system clock and you can't remove it.

And uninstall Automatic Task Killer. It's bad for the OS and doesn't do anything good. Totally useless.

Thanks for the screenshot. Its the wall clock icon, first item second row, next to contacts. It appears to be malware to me. Looking at permissions, it can open the microphone, record conversations poke through your personal information, track your location etc. etc. I
