Cant use androidforum search ?

Im on my android phone and when I hit the search button in blue and select the text box my qwerty keybord pops up for 2 sexonds then it goes away leaving nothinf written in the box any ideas?

I have the same problem.

I typically either use the search box just above that or hit Advanced Search quickly when the drop down is open.
