Can't view videos

Help please.
Everythime I try to watch a video I get the message "sorry, this video is not valid for streaming to this device." or some such thing.

Do I need an app, if so which one?

Phone is a motorola backflip,
Provider AT&T

RockPlayer does play a lot of video formats.

What format is the video in? sounds like its a codec that the phone doesnt support.
