Help Capital at start of SMS

All of a sudden my phone doesn't put a capital letter at start of SMS, why?
Have checked settings and conducted internet search and cannot resolve.
And ideas how to?

You using the Stock app or a Third Party one?

Are you using an alternative keyboard too? Is there an auto capitalization option in there?

I have found that the stock messaging app sometimes inserts a space at the beginnign of a new text thereby defeating auto cap. If you backspace once with a new text auto cap is returned. Definitely a bug.

Have you accidentally changed the language too as I find that makes the keyboard act weird?

Thanks people, should've said, using stock app with touchpal keyboard.
Not getting a space at start.
But also really irritating when ending at adss a space (not sure whether this is android or Touchpal).
