Caps lock while texting/typing

Need help with the caps on keyboard. I am coming from an iPhone where you had a setting of keeping the caps ON but not text or type with caps on. Anyone know of any settings or 3rd party apps? Thank you.

For my phone, just tap the Cap button in the virtual keyboard twice, then it will keep in Cap mode. I will post a screenshot for you later.

Thanks but to be more specific the caps stay on visually but when you are typing they type in lower case like you normally would. Its more of a visual thing.

That button does also show the cap status. When it is white, it means cap mode. But check the white icon carefully, please.
The white icon with a underline means 'cap locking' mode while the normal white icon means 'cap once' mode.
Do you get what I mean above? :D

I shared two screenshots of my android phone on amazon cloud just now. https://goo.gl/R1tNh1
Just check those two files, Cap keeps - 0.png & Cap keeps - 1.png.

Ok, I know what you mean. I am not myself aware of any Android keyboard that imitates this (there may be one, but I've not met it).

(To be honest I've always regarded that as a major stupidity of iOS design, making it harder to tell whether caps lock is on or not, so I'm not surprised that the major android keyboards don't have this.)

I know that was a major criticism of the stock Apple iPhone and iPad keyboards. They would always show you UPPERCASE LETTERS, even when typing in lowercase. Quite frankly I don't know of any Android keyboard that does that.

Thanks James and I see what you are saying but I cannot get my phone to mirror that so I can't tell if that would fix it. How did you get that? Thanks everyone for the post comments, for me its just easier to see the caps - as simple as that. Thank you.

I don't think James's post shows how to do what you want. From the description and screenshots it looks like he's just illustrating normal caps behaviour: the two screenshots look like caps pressed (so next character will be caps) and caps locked (so it will remain in caps until you unlock). But neither is showing you the keyboard without caps pressed, which is what you want: caps not pressed but the letter symbols on the keys being displayed in caps anyway.
