car bluetooth doesn't switch radio to phone

Hi, I changed from ios to android. I have paired the android phone to rav4 via bluetooth. If I have selected audio>bluetooth, I can hear phone music, take call, and listen to directions.

However, when I have audio>radio selected (the phone still paired), the bluetooth doesn't become active in case the phone wants to communicate, e.g., directions. It used to work fine on ios, so I feel being new to android, I am missing a setting. Has anyone else encountered this and knows how to make this work?

Hello, I live in Brazil. I have a Chevrolet Cruze 2012, and my mobile is a Samsung S3. I paired it, but I'm having ploblems in use the phonebook on the multimedia device. It seems to work sometimes, as during this morning, but sudenly this desapear... And by clicking the "phone button" twice, to reach the phonebook, I can see the screem which shows the numbers to be choosen!
Does anybody can help me? Is this something related to compatibility?
