Car Charger Question

I have a car charger with a USB interface that I used for my ipod. Should I be able to use this with my Incredible along with HTC cable or do i have to buy a charger specific to my phone? Thanks
 
As long as you have the correct cable, you should be fine. USB is meant for devices to use standard voltages and such. I use my RAZR car charger on my Eris. The charger that came with my phone was a 1 Amp charger, so anything less can't hurt (computers output 500 mAh for comparison).

It should work fine. USB uses a standard voltage, so anything that has usb will have the same voltage. The amperage, which determines how fast the phone charges, could be different. I believe the stock AC charger puts out 1000mA. Most car chargers put out 500mA, which is enough to charge, it will just be slow. If your charger puts out less than that, it may not charge at all, as the phone will be drawing more power than charging.
