Hey guys and girls, I found something quite interesting. I am on Metro PCS, and just bypassed my 2GB limit of 4g LTE data. I was throttled down to what they considered 3G, which was unusable. Speed tests were coming back around .08Mbps download.
I found a few forums discussing bypassing this, because even at 3G, that is completely unacceptable. So, let's get to the meat.
The main post that inspired this one recommended to go to "settings," then, "mobile networks," switch to "edge," then speed test. I only had 2g as an option. After that, close all applications, then switch back to LTE, the phone cycles between E, then H+, then back to LTE, problem solved. I tried switching from 2G, to LTE, no dice. 2G to 3G to LTE. Still no luck, so I kept searching.
I found an Android Forums post about switching your MSL, bypassing proxies, and so forth. It included the command ##3282#. Being lazy, I just entered the code into the dilaer and said screw it to the rest after making all those changes.
Being a long time Android user, I haven't found those codes to ever work, but this one said "Updating PRI settings.". Woohoo, I hope it didn't break my phone! So I rebooted and crossed my fingers.
Low and behold, Some combination of the ADD I had worked! I used to get about 6Mb down on LTE on Metro. Then this happened...

I also tested on speedof.me, but that had my IP, and I and am too lazy to blur it out. Additionally, torrents were a 4.1MB/sec.
I guess I should say do this at your own risk, but I don't see any way this could screw up your phone (back it up anyway! I didnt.). I also do not believe this is in any violation of any terms of service as there was ZERO hacking or falsifying any of your phone's info. I am curious if this works for anyone else. If it works, please post. I wish I could give more specific instructions, but I am not about to screw up am awesome thing.
