Lurker
i have a problem i have att right now with 3 lines lets call them lines 1 2 and 3 line 2 is mine line 1 is my moms and line 3 is an old line that just hasnt ended yet and we didnt want to pay the exit fee. line 1 is due for an update line 2 or 3 arent i line 2 want to switch to verizon to get the droid x but i want to keep my number and not have to pay a cancelation fee. Is there any way i can transfer my number to line 1, line 1's number to my line and then use that upgrade to cancel and then transfer my number over to verizon. I know its a bit lengthy and complicated but all i want to do is go to verizon with my number without having to pay the cancelation fees. Is there any way this is possible?

I would say it is not smart to switch carriers just for a different phone. But, if you have 3 lines and one is beyond contract, I would think At&t would allow you to drop a line and swap the numbers around.

I would look at the new devices coming out to At&t.
