Hi, I'm looking to buy a Cliq XT to ship to my mom overseas. I'm looking to snag one off of ebay. I see they sell them unlocked already (more expensive) or regular ol' T-Mobile locked.
I'm going to root and update this puppy to 2.XX (still reading up on that), does that process take care of carrier unlock hence making it pointless to overpay for the "unlocked" ebay versions?
