case or wireless

buyingf a s8 soon whats better a battery case or a wireless charger? Both combined seems impractical since you need to remove the case and charge it seperately.

do you be lieve they offer adequate protection guy at verizon said negative but was really pushing life type cases

Neither. I put my phone on charge an hour before I go to bed. Then I take it off charge and go to sleep. I wake up and I've lost about 9%. Then I go to work, surf the net on my breaks, get home, play games, then put my phone back on charge with 30% battery left before I go to sleep. On those odd days I forget to charge before I go to bed I'll stick it on charge for an hour at work;)

Edit: Maybe the battery goes down a bit quicker when you actually use it but that accounts for my unofficial breaks just in case my boss sees this. But got home with 50% battery and been Bluetoothing to my speakers for 3 hours, plus searching the web and still on 38%

i'm kinda a bull in a china shop and thought using one or the other would help keep me from trashing the connecter where the lightning cord plugs in

You shouldn't need to worry about breaking the charger. Unless you've literally got the screen on constantly you'll get a day minimum. If you need to charge during the day it's a fast charge. Empty to full in hour and half tops. No lightning charge here though, it's usb type c:)

I would get a case for it though. That's just me though. I've always been a clumsy bastard. Ever since I dropped my s3 and tired to catch it with my foot. FYI the phone flew down the road. Thank you CaseMate :D

I have a Spigen slim armour case and I do not have to take it off to wirelessly charge my phone. The case has protected the phone in short drops onto hard surfaces. Put it in the samsung wireless fast charger and it chargers just as fast as using the charging cable.

S8+ Here, but I have it in a Spigen Neo case and have absolutely no problem using a wireless charger. In fact, I have one on my nightstand and another in my office (both inexpensive 3rd party ones from Amazon), and they work beautifully with or without the case.
