Just a plain ole Debit Card and hit 'Cash Back'

you can get up to $40 at just about any register you come to.

That's not what the OP is talking about.
The OP means apps that you shop with that give you cash back for shopping using that app. [emoji38]

I hate the coupon thing, so anything other than cash back on an ATM card was the only thing that came to mind.
I also refuse to use apps to purchase anything with, don't trust them to keep my info safe.

My wife and I really like ShopKick. You earn points by scanning UPC codes on products they are advertising, walking into stores, viewing ads, and making purchases. Points can be redeemed for gift cards and other items. You can get it at http://get.shopkick.com/stockton912.

iBotta is pretty good in this regard. Basically you unlock rebates for various products (some of them are even generic items like Bread, which means you can any brand of bread you want).... and you can then purchase it at whatever store you can find it. After they verify it - usually with a pic of the receipt and sometimes a UPC scan. They then deposit the rebate your iBotta account which you can redeem by transferring to PayPal or redeeming for various gift cards.
