Casting to Sony Bravia tv

I had an issue that I can't see my photos and videos on my 55 inch led Sony Bravia tv. Can some body suggest what is the best way to cast to my tv.

I don't know your TV (and you didn't give us a model number so I could look it up). I know my Samsung TV shows up as a target when I try to cast from the Youtube app. If yours doesn't, you'll need to get a Chromecast to plug into the TV.

Hopefully someome reading this thread, and has or knows that particular TV, maybe able to confirm YAY or NAY

Assuming that your Bravia is connected to the same the home network as your Android device, try installing this Sony mirroring app on your Android device:

Then using the app you should be able to cast to your TV.

This has been one of my gripes with Google lately, dropping Miracast support.

Yep, that KDL-55 doesn't show up on the list of Cast-enabled TVs here so you'll need to purchase a Chromecast in order to cast content from your phone to the TV. Like @Jfalls63 mentioned, Google devices haven't supported the Miracast screen mirroring protocol for a few years now.

Can you not just use a piece of software such as BubbleUPnP? This has worked on my last 3 TVs.

Yes, the loss of Miracast support on Google Pixel 2 disappointed me, as I had it on my Droid Turbo 2 and Droid Maxx. I can't even cast to my own computer, or to this ScreenBeam I bought a few years ago that uses Miracast.
