When I discovered Cecil the Lion Game by Out of Box Ltd. on Google Play Store it instantly got my attention. There are very few games that are actually devoted to social causes and are being used to raise awareness and I was glad to see that people are now paying attention to such incidents.
The game features a lion (portraying Cecil) chasing a jeep of hunters. What is really interesting about the
game is that one of the hunters in the jeep looks exactly like Walter Palmer. I thought that was a great way for players to take out the anger and frustration they felt for the dentist by helping Cecil catch him.
The jungle terrain in the background interestingly looks like Africa and you get the feeling of Cecil being disturbed in his home, a place he had grown to love and felt was safe.
The controls in Cecil the Lion Game are also easy and straightforward. Cecil the lion runs after the jeep while you tap on the screen to help him jump over hurdles. The more hurdles you jump, the closer you get to the jeep.
I would highly recommend this game which you can download on your Android phone through Google Play Store. As 10% of their profits will go to WildCRU it is also a great way to contribute to conservation
projects.
