cell turn off and won't restart due to bug

I received a notification that I've encountered a virus while surfing the web on my cell; it then shut down my cell and won't allow me to turn it on. what should I do? I have a samsung galaxy s3, carrier is sprint.

You can try this:

Factory Reset your Samsung Galaxy S3 — Android Forum - AndroidPIT

Although it will erase all apps and user data. It will not delete pics or files from your sd card.
