Certain sites not loading on home network

Hello, long time reader, first-time question-asker.
Apparently my Galaxy tab 2 7.0 has decided that certain sites (all of which loaded just fine in the past) are no longer "available" (stock browser as well as dolphin). These are sites that load just fine on my home network on PC, and load okay on my tablet *IF* I connect to a different wifi network (university campus wifi) -- but for some reason, these sites fail to load on my tablet if I am connected to my home network.
I've cleared cookies and cache, turned it off and on again, removed the network in question and reconnected, reset the modem and the router - nothing is solving this issue.
Please let me know if this is a known issue, and if so, how to go about solving it. I don't want to have to switch wifi networks every time I want to check certain sites.

I don't believe we have a firewall set up, and I'm not certain of what the other terminology means (I talk a good tech game and I'm a fast learner, but I have limited network fiddling experience). I can tell you that 1) the home network is direct to us via the cable company, and we own and set up the modem and router, 2) some of these sites loaded fine on my tablet as of yesterday, and are still loading just fine on the PC using the home network, and 3) I'm willing to track down any information you need to assist me so long as you explain how to do it.

Alright, based on the information already provided, sounds like this is a network issue, not a tablet issue. As such, I moved this to the Computers & IT forum. Plenty of smart folks here to offer ideas.:)

Could you post a link to one of the sites? Is it possible it is something proprietary to campus an they may have tucked it behind a firewall?

Hm. I would have thought it was a hardware issue as well, given that the sites work on the home network on PC. But I can see it either way...
This is definitely not a proprietary thing. these are public domains. I just happened to have the university wifi as my backup network because I live near the campus. besides - the university wifi is the one that worked! my home wifi is the problem!
I don't know if I'm allowed to post links yet, being a new user and all... I'll just give the names. the first one is dot net and the latter is dot com.
One of the sites that DOES load ok on the tablet, regardless of network, is the site for IdleThumbs (a podcast network). One of the sites that DOES NOT load ok on the tablet if I am using my home network is f4wonline (a wrestling and MMA news site). This latter did load okay on home wifi as of this morning, and continues to work okay on PC, and on tablet, loaded for me on university wifi, but will not load any longer on the home wifi network.

It appears you were right in your hunch about it being a network issue. I just tried to access the wrestling site on my wife's Asus tablet on the home wifi, and that also did not work. So now my only questions are, why would this be limited to certain sites, and why would these sites continue to load successfully on PC but not our android devices?

At random all browsers on my Note 10.1 suddenly load sites all corrupted or immediately fail with 'webpage not available. '

Only solution is force stopping the browser and it might work for a few minutes or a few hours before doing it again. Nothing else seems affected (apps, other devices, etc) I also notice my WiFi icon is showing connected but only the 'up' data arrow is flashing. I also notice the browser is consuming way too much RAM (half a gig?) and CPU is at 100%.

Issue seems exclusive to this one tablet, but not any other Android products I use. This morning I couldn't load AF without immediately getting 'webpage not available' but Bing seemed fine.
