cestos game - hacked account? question

Bit of a noob on Android so soz if stupid question! I was playing cestos today and the other guy started writing random letters in txt box then after bout 50 txt box msgs said "i have hacked your account" can he do this or was it just some idiot being a real arse? I deleted the app as not sure wot permissions the game had on my phone!

They were just being a jerk, the app has almost no permissions to your phone, and every app is sandboxed.
