Root ChainFire vs Skipsoft Toolkit methods

How do you decide between using the ChainFire rooting method and using Skipsoft's Android Toolkit? What are the pros and cons of each? Do they both trip the Knox fuse?

No I don't think so because a custom ROM would be unsigned, and the stock recovery has some sort of check to make sure that any image file is signed first.
