NoMoRobo has been pretty good but, what with spammers more-and-more spoofing CallerID on a call-by-call basis, it seems like the end is in sight for crowd-sourced call screening.
That being the case, Challenge-Response comes to mind.
Somebody whose number is not in my phone's Contacts DB calls my phone.
Phone does not ring.
Caller hears sometning like "Press 1 for Joe, Press 2 for Sue...Press 9 for Pete" or "Please enter the digits of the current year, which is 2018."
Caller enters the correct response, and only then does my phone ring.
Sort of an audio Captcha.
Anybody know of such an app?
Is it even possible within the API?
