Change alarm duration

Bodestone

On my notes 1-4 the alarm duration was 1 minute. On the 8 it is 5 minutes.

Does anyone know how to change this?

I have root but really don't want it to be a recopmpile of the clock app. They keep messing with that so badly, replacing all the tones and various other things.

At least alarms are now ordered by time and not last edited to top. And finally, missing since the 2, you can set the tone to play on timer completion.

But why, oh why, change the duration of alarms by a factor of 5 without adding an option to set it back.

Any help at all as to where to look would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Rob.

Not sure why they changed it or how to change it back, but you can try using a different alarm app instead. Try Google clock. It has the ability to change duration. Just go to the app settings and change the duration.

Why they changed it, who can say?
People just liked it better that way.
Istanbul not Constanti... No We don't!

I am always slightly annoyed that each itteration of the note I have to find new (or a way of extracting my favourite alarm) tones. They never offer the old ones for download. I suffer sleep issues. I got a set of tones on the 4 that would slowly bring me out of sleep nicely and I could only get half of them back from the 4 as they were the ones transfered from the 3 and the others were embedded in the app.

OK, as soon as I try and install Google Clock the app store stops. I guess it is because trhey both have th same application name Will have to report it and get back to folks with feedback but.. I may be... Some time.

Still a bit of a no-go. I am rooted but this is the only app I have ever had crash the app stoe competely on pressing Install. I've had re-boots between tries too.

I did so and, apart from the alarm duration I actually prefer the Samsung clock. Might be just because I am used to it so shall play some more.

The issue with Play Store app on the phoine was that it didn't like being skinned with Substratum.

Marrking alternate clock as best answer even though I prefer original clock so it has not really asnswered my question but might be a good solution for others
