Help Change notification bar color?

Anyone aware of any Home Replacements for the Nexus One that will allow you to: change the color of the top notification bar (and font), including making it transparent?

I'm hoping I don't have to root for this. Currently I'm using ADW.Launcher to hide it, which I love, but I was just wondering about the above.

No. Well...maybe Home+ or whatever it's called...but otherwise no.

Really there is no reason NOT to root though. The only way you can screw up your phone is through unsupported kernels and flashing radios. Cyanogenmod is perfect for you.

HTC still honors hardware faults. All you loose really is to pwn a hardware fault you caused on the phone itself

You must root to change the color. For 3 months I did not root and used the white notification bar and burnt it in to the screen slightly. Finally 3 days ago I rooted and now use the black desire bar and I feel so much better now using my phone safely.
