Hi, welcome to Android Forums.
With some devices and depending on which service provider you are with, the number of rings before going to voicemail can be changed in the Call app settings in 'Call forwarding' - 'Forward when unanswered', by changing the delay period. Failing that your service provider should be able to change it for you.
I have mine on the maximum 30 seconds delay.
