Change save location

Now I know I'm going to feel stupid after hearing this answer probably.

Anyway is there a setting for changing the save location for the market apps because they keep saving to the phone and I would like them to save to my sd card. I am using the motorolla droid.

from what i understand...the only way to do it is if you have "rooted" your device.

TheSultan is correct - current Android OS versions don't allow you to install apps anywhere other than the main phone memory. We are told that Google are working on this but there are security issues. We'll see if it comes about - personally I think it HAS to as developers won't want to develop for handsets that can only hold twenty or thirty apps.

Meanwhile, you can do it if you "root" your phone.
