Change the pause between ringtone?

Is there any way to change the length of the pause after the ringtone plays before it plays again during incoming calls?

In Sense, the ringtone would play, then play again and again, with no pause in between. I recently flashed CM7, and now the ringtone plays, then a 5 second pause, then plays again.
I'd like the delay to be 1 second (Sense was a little too fast and spazzy, but CM is spread way to much)

I've missed a couple calls because of this since I didn't notice my phone ringing. I looked through the settings but didn't see anything.

Any ideas?

Not sure if you can do this in the OS, but one option would be to edit the ringtone file itself. Dupe it a few times - so that the file is the same tune repeated a few times, with a 1 sec pause between bursts.

Audacity is easy/free if you use windows.

Yeah, that's my plan B. You'd think there would be a way to change this in Android itself, since CM7 and Sense have it set differently. I looked in the build.prop, but didn't see anything useful there.

Yes, I can agree with your frustration. I also googled and found no easy solution.

My only comment is that perhaps the stock OS is behaving as it should be and that the custom OS has been tweaked to match that particular developer's preference.

IMHO, it would make more sense to have no delay by default.
