Changed profile pic in G+, didn't go to phone

I updated my profile picture in G+ and it is showing online for Gmail too but it hasn't updated on my phone. Gmail still shows my old profile picture, so my contact info is also showing the old one.

Is there a delay and am I just being too antsy or is there an issue with this? I Googled but didn't really any recent and relevant information.

Anyone change theirs recently and did everything eventually sync or do I have to change it on the phone as well as online?

Well, after about 5 manual sync's everything finally updated, except GV. I guess I was just too impatient but in this day and age everything should be instant.

you just need to wait for few minutes and it'll become all right then I guess.
