jamezgt,
I highly recommend these forums:
Nexus One - xda-developers
The "Themes and Apps" section has a lot of good ones, a few that work specifically for CM6 & Meta Morph. "Android Development" has lots of other good ROM's, too, some with colored notification bars already installed.
With Meta Morph:
1. Make sure you install BusyBox from the Market, then run it, and it will tell you if you have the latest version installed or not.
2. Install Meta Morph.
3. Find a theme (like on one of the links above) and put the .zip into the "AndroidThemes" folder that will be created in the root of your SD when you install Meta Morph.
4. When you're in Meta Morph, go to Menu then Settings and drop the speed about 50% from where it is.
Then you can just extract the theme (in Meta Morph) then find and apply the theme (it will be the XML file).
I'm using this ROM: [ROM] FRF91 Stock, Deodexed, rooted, busybox, battery %, TB alert/wake/unlock - xda-developers
It's already got the nice looking black bar with great icons installed.
Great Info!
If I don't like the theme for some reason, can I restore my original Cyanogen 6.0 theme?
Also, I read that I had to flash the theme through Recovery mode - does your method remove that step?
I downloaded the Blackbar version and it's roughly 60-70 mbs - This is a ROM, not a theme right? If it's a ROM, do I just do the same thing I did for Cyanogen 6.0?
Also, is there anything I can just download, and simply open that will change my notification bar? I hate flashing, and wiping - scares me =x
