Changing date automatically

My husbands phone (galaxy S9) is acting weird. The time and date keep changing to the wrong date, then back to the correct time and date. Cant figure out why its doing that. any suggestions?

His phone did it again today after updating the clock. It went to a totally different date and time. Should I update everything or should we set back to factory setting?

A factory reset would most likely fix your husband's phone. However, you might make certain there isn't an app installed that is messing with the clock. It would probably be something installed just prior to the problem. I'd try checking that prior to a factory reset.

go into settings under General management then date and time and make sure use date and time provided by your network is checked

Update* as of now we have done a settings reset not a factory reset, and everything seems to be working.
