Changing lock screen img, Samsung Galaxy Tab 3, 8 Android 4.2

Hello Everyone,
I'm new to android, Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8 inch. I'm trying to find out how to manually change the background image on the lock screen. I have a picture that I downloaded to Dropbox from my PC. When I opened that picture in XNview the resolution is listed as 2875x 1459. When I tapped that image in dropbox to open it, it opened with an app that I'm not I'm not familiar with. The filename was displayed in the upper left-hand corner and the number of the file in dropbox, the trashcan icon for deleting, the share button, favorites button then a button which when tapped brought up "open with" and "export". When I tapped "open with" it automatically opened another app which had a small yellow flower icon in the upper left-hand corner and in a right corner a button that when pressed brought a menu with the option of "Select Device" and listed my wireless media player. When I tapped the menu button, the option to "set as" popped up and they had the option to set the background for the lock screen and home screen. However, when I pressed the "lock screen" option the image was redisplayed with a large square in the middle of the screen, I'm assuming I'm supposed to use this to select the part of the image I want to have is the background. Problem is it's only allowing me to select a very small part of the image. Can someone please tell me what this app is and how to use this app to select the entire image or at least a larger portion than it is. Is there an other app I can use to do this? Also, how do I move images from dropbox to another folder, what's the name of the dropbox folder when using the android file browser? Thanks in advance for any info you can provide!
