changing ringtone for gmail

Hi, I am using the Gmail app that was pre-loaded on the phone, and I can't figure out how to change the notification sound when I am receiving an email. Help!

It is your phone's notification sound.

Settings -> Sound settings -> Notifications - Notification ringtone

For my phone's ringtone, I am using my music through my Handcent app I installed. Still get to it the same way? Thanks!!
