I live in Finland and have a Sony 50kdl809c .The problem I have is that I have a new antenna that has been set up great ( I only live 3kms-2miles from the source) and I have a pvr box connected and the picture I receive is great ,really great -now if I disconnect the pvr box and run the antenna straight to the TV,on the set up menu I have 98% strength and 92 quality -about the same as thro' the pvr -but when I select a channel it says that it is encrypted and the screen is blank with no sound.The reason I am on here is that the seller has told me that my TV does not "accept " the channels without some sort of decoding box (pvr) .Is that bull or is he correct ?
