is there a difference between iphone chargers and android chargers?

Android devices use Micro USB cables (industry standard), while Apple devices use proprietary cables (Lightning and 30 pin).

I believe what he is asking is if the actual charger itself is different, not the cable. The Apple/Android chargers are interchangeable for the most part. Depending on the charger they put out anywhere from 400ma -2000ma which affects recharge speed and to a very small extent, battery life.
