I recently got the S9. My last phone was a S6. Is the wall wart the same? One is white(S6) the other is black and I read the side of each one and they seem the same. Is it the cable that is the only difference? I don't keep up with all this hoopla.

Read the specific details on each charger. The main thing is the input/output being the same. Either way, I would strongly suggest using the new charger to help avoid any issues.
