Charger tips dilemma

Are there actually different charger tips for Android? I was trying to use one of those with a removable block in order to plug the phone into the PC, but it didn't work. When I compared the tips, I noticed that one was relatively broad and flat while the other was narrower but thicker back to front. Is there some kind of standard for this? How do I make sure to get exactly the right kind of tip on a charger cord?

It's either USB-C or Micro-USB unless you've got a T-Mobile G1. USB-C let's you use Quick Charge 3.0 but you can get an Micro-USB to USB-C adapter tip if you still have a Micro-USB cable but didn't get a cable when you bought your new phone. You don't get Quick Charge 3.0 unless you got a wall wart that supports it though.

It's a Coolpad Canvas and I had trouble with the charger from the get go. In fact, I'm not even sure which charger I'm using now. I've got a bunch of them and thank goodness. I need the kind that's relatively broad and flat. Which one is that? Also, is a wall wart that removable block?

How do I know how much current? Is it mentioned somewhere on the wart? The packaging probably has that, but I don't necessarily have access to it. This charger is not the modular kind. The wart is not removable. I still have to find a modular one with the right, i. e. broad, flat tip.

Which is which? I found believe it or not a set of 2 converter tips. Should I get that? I just want to plug the phone into the PC and swap files. I don't plan to charge the phone that way.

Only way to tell if the cable you are using will do that is the packaging. My bluetooth headset has a "power only" micro-usb cord but my phones micro-usb cord will work for power AND data transfer. Since that can't be printed on the cable itself it is usually mentioned in the packaging. And as far as I have been able to determine, I have not been able to see any physical difference between the cords
