Charging battery

Hi,

Does anyone know - is it ok to leave the phone plugged in to charge all night or should I wait and disconnect it after full charge (30 minutes)?
Also, should I wait until almost drained to charge? Or just plug it in when near a charger?

Thanks

I leave mine on charge when I'm sleeping. Haven't had any problems. I always try to top up whenever I can but I draw the line at charging from outlets in public transportation areas.

I have my phones charging overnight. Top it off if I get down to 60% during the day if I am working late.

All devices made within the last few years have circuitry built in to prevent over charging. Most of them will charge at full power to about 90%~95% and then trickle charge to 100% at which point it shuts off the charge. If the phone sits long enough to drop below 95% it will trickle charge back up to 100% and so on. Actually LiIon batteries perform better with small incremental charges rather than letting them discharge completely. (The same circuitry will prevent the battery from a complete discharge, since that can render a battery inert,) It should be perfectly safe to leave it plugged in.
