charging issue

[Android Question]

I have a samung galaxy proclaim and i just ordered a new battery cause it will not hold charge is it possible that it could be the plug in the phone. could you please let me know if this is a known issue.

Phone batteries are usually good for anywhere from 500 to 1000 full charges and discharges. That usually equates to a battery lasting only two years max. How long have you had your phone?

Also, does the phone show that the charging icon goes on and off at times? If so, then there might be an issue with either your charging cable or your phone itself. Can you replace the cable?
