Ive had problems charging my samsung s2 for the past few months but today its give up the ghost & i cannpt turn it on despite being on constant charge. It started by the battery draining everyday. I rang orange who showed me how to close all my apps from continuously running in the background. For a month or so i thought my phone was cured. Then it would show the battery icon charging until 100% thenwhen i unplugged it in the morning it would drop immediately down to below 50%. This has gone like this now for months. More lately it shows the icon charging but seems to lose charge rather than increase it. I know its not the battery as the mrs has the same phone & weve swapped batteries on more than 1 occassion but its clear that mines got the charging issue. Last night i plugged it in as it was down to 1% & woke this morning to find the phone has switched off. Ive had it on charge now since 4pm but it still wont turn on. Occassionally it duz show a low battery with the yellow warning triangle.
My phone is just 19 months old from new but i dont have insurance.
Can anyone help solve my phones problem & give me a guide in hpw much it will cost me to get it fixed?
Cheers

Hi and thanks for taking the time to post your question. Based on the info you have provided I would have to guess that your charging port is damaged. I don't think it is software related and as you have said you ruled out the battery being the culprit (which was my first guess)
(I'm also going to assume that the battery will charge correctly in the other phone and once charged will allow your phone to power on)

I'm afraid the only solution will be to take the phone in for repair. The cost of which varies from shop to shop. My advice would be to all around and see who can offer the best deal (preferably with some sort of guarantee)
